GMG ColorServer Conventional offers powerful print data conversions and enables exact profiling for conventional printing processes. PDFs can be converted into any industry-standard such as PSO or GRACoL. The integration of GMG OpenColor enables the seamless conversion of user-defined standards and spot colors into CMYK. GMG ColorServer Conventional supports offset-, flexo- and gravure printing. The solution is optimized for both commercial- and packaging printing

If an advert is to appear internationally in various magazines and newspapers, it’s inevitable that the same advert is printed using different printing processes, colors and substrates. Print data therefore must always be adapted to the respective conditions and optimally converted for each standard. With the superior MX technology and GMG OpenColor, GMG ColorServer guarantees consistent results at all times, even with papers outside of common standards. The print result is visibly superior — especially in gray- and skin-tones.

GMG ColorServer is based on GMG MX technology, providing reproducible results in high-end quality. CMYK-to-CMYK conversions are performed whilst preserving the black channel’s integrity. This way print data can optimally be transferred from one printing standard to another.
Thanks to GMG ColorServer’s CMYK re-separation, data can be standardized in terms of color composition, and the RGB-to-CMYK conversion achieves smoother separations than an ICC workflow could do. Spot colors can accurately be converted to process colors, using the maximum gamut of the CMYK color space.
The Paper Adaptation Tool guarantees close visual matches to printing conditions or standards adapting the color output space to the production paper.
In addition, GMG ColorServer allows the use of 4-color separation profiles that have been generated in GMG OpenColor.
